The History of APASA

At The University of Arizona, “Asian Pacific American” (APA) describes the vastly diverse student population who identify wholly, or in part, as having an East Asian, Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander, or Desi/South Asian cultural and/or ethnic identity. This includes students who may identify as Multiracial, Multiethnic, or Hapa as well. While most of the students who traditionally visit the Center are Asian-identified, APASA strives to create an environment welcoming to any and all students regardless of their ethnic or racial identity.

There is no expectation of speaking a specific language, understanding cultural norms or eating specific foods in order to be involved with our Center. The only thing we ask of our students is a willingness to learn from one another and for you to share your unique talents.

WELCOME!
